Delivering an MRI through a 3rd-floor window that is surrounded by other buildings. No problem for IQ Contracting. With a coordinated evacuation plan and a two crane team, almost 50 people participated in this lift. The 300-ton crane requires 12-53′ trucks of counterweights and extensions built onto a smaller crane by another small crane. First, the old MRI is removed using a platform that is temporarily attached to the building. As we began delivering the new MRI, the helicopter team alerted us to an emergency case. All activity was backed up as we waited for the patient to arrive. Deliveries typically take a few hours out and in, this was two long days.
